NEW SUB-STATIONS. TENDERS TO BE CALLED. JBy Telegraph.— Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. As a further indication of the extended scope of the supply of electricity irqin Mgahao and "VVaikaremoana hydro schemes, Cabinet has authorised the calling of tenders for extensions of substations at Napier and Wangamii and section, of new sub-stations at Stratford and New Plymouth. new stations are in preparation 10?;: the supply of electric power from . rnain tjystem to the Taranaki transMission line. A survey from Wanganui has been coinpletcd, and wdtyood poles are expected to be landed €a *v in April. The line to Stratford ,V1 )1 be 100,000 volts, while from this point to New Plymouth the voltage will ? 50,000. The' Stratford-New Plymouth me was erected some time ago and eased to the New Plymouth Power ooard for transmission of power from ianki. ; .. - The whole of.the new scheme is to e completed by October, 1931.
