CAVE WOMEN?

BOXING DISPLACES CABARETS. LONDON, March 14. Because patrons, especially women, are surfeited of cabaret turns practically identical with hundreds of other West End night clubs, the Wintergarden Club, says the "Weekly Dispatch," has inaugurated a series of professional boxing contests for gold cups and other prizes, wherein the combatants must put up a vigorous exhibition, specially aiming for a knock-out.

The manager says that the spectacle is attracting far more women than the cabarets. "I suppose there is something primitive in woman which is held fascinated by exhibitions of skilled force," he said.
