HUNTLY RAILWAY STATION.
PROPOSED NEW SITE.
The proposals submitted by officers of the Railway Department for removal of the Huntly railway station to a more central site were discussed at a public meeting convened by the Town Board. The chairman (Mr._W. C. E. George) said the Department was of opinion thatj the alteration would help to neutralise the competition encountered from service cars. The board was in favour of the proposed change. A resolution was carried endorsing the action of the board in supporting the proposal. It is understood work on the new building will begin almost immediately.
