Sir George Fowlds left for the South by train last evening. Mr. P. D. N. Verseliaffelt, Public Service Commissioner, is .at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. J. B. Donald, Minister of Industries and Commerce, left by train last evening for Wellington. Mr. Howard G. Mason (Auckland), manager of W. D. and H. 0. Wills (N.Z.), Ltd., left for Wellington last night, en route to England. Mr. and Mrs. A. Moore (Riverton), Mr. A. Ternan (Wellington), Mr. W. Lewis (Sydney), Mr. and Mrs. F. Houstoun (South Africa) are at the Commercial Hotel. Mr. E. W. Gabites (Hastings), Mr. D. Farquhar (Te Aroha), Mr. T. C. Collins (Sydney), Mr. W. Ley (Victoria) are at the Royal Hotel. Among the guests staying at the Central Hotel are: Mr. M. C. McClea (Christchurch), Mr. and Mrs. George Cooper, Mr. Keith Thomson (Wellington), Mr. E. Mackay (Te Kuiti), Mr. W. A. Jarvie (Lower Hutt). Mr. S. A. Cheney, chairman of directors of Messrs. Cheneys (Australia), Limited, arrived in Auckland by the Ulimaroa this morning. He leaves for Wellington tihis evening, and he will sail next Tuesday by the Makura for England, via America. Among those at Hotel Cargen are: Mr. G. W. Armstrong (Gisborne), Mr. F. H. Vincent, Mr. E. Daniels (Te Kuiti), Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Struthers (Persian Gulf), Mr. R. A. Penfold Mr. E. W. Armstrong (Rangoon), Mr. N. and Mr. B. N. Zwar (Pretoria). Sir Jehangir Ivothari, of Korachi, India, arrived in Auckland yesterday, and is at the Grand Hotel. He is spending a holiday in New Zealand. He was for many years a member of the Indian Council, and was knighted for his services. He will leave New Zealand by the Tofua in the course of a few days to visit the Polynesian Islands.
