The ejection of delegates to rupressnt the Auckland district at the biaimial movable conference of the New Zealand branch, to be held at Talmerston North next month, resulted in the following being elected: Bros. T. Aitken, C. H. Anibridae, F. Best, W. Best, W. Dean, W. J. Edwards, J. A. Gray, W. Gubb, F. Hard, T. M. Hetet, J. *McLeod. W. McMillan. F. C. Perry, W. G. Pitcher, R. T. Scott and F. A.' Smith.

District management committee: Bros. J. E. Allen, W. Best, S. D. Eadc, R. E. Fawcett, J. A. Gray, F. Hard, W. McMillan, F. C. Perry" and T. W. Thompson.

A proposal from the Loyal Franklin Lodge to hold the district conference of 1031 at Otahuhu on the oc.-asion of that lodge's celebration of its jubilee was agreed to.

A further remit from the Franklin Lodge had for its pui'pose a reduction in the representation of lodges to uistrict conferences. The present rule provides for lodges heing allowed one delegate up to 100 members and one deputy for each additional 100 or part thereof. The proposal to alter the rule to read 200 instead of 100, with a provision, however, that the voting power of lodges be maintained as at present, was adopted. A remit from the Pukekohe Lodge proposed the halving of the representation of districts to the B3LC. The present rule providing for one deputy for every 500 members was varied to read 1000. The decision will, however, require the endorsement of the biennial movable conference before becoming operative.

The Loyal Good Intent Lodge was responsible for two remits having for their purpose the providing of the remission of members' contributions on reaching the ages or" 00 or Co years: also the payment of members' contributions during the time they are in receipt of sick pay. It was resolved to send the remits on to the incoming district management committee for the purpose of obtaining the essential actuarial information for presentation to the next district conference (1931). The. conference rejected a proposal to alter the rules providing that the Noble Grand of a lodge should be not younger than 21 years of age. It was urged that it was in the interest of the lodges to have the young members taking an active part in the administration, whereas the proposal, if adopted, would have a detrimental effect in that respect.

Nomination of district officers for 1031-32 were as follow: For district grand master, R. T. Scott; for district deputy grand master, F. Hard, J. E. Allen, J. A. Gray, T. W. Thompson, P>. E. Fawcett, D. B. Currie. S. D. Eade, T. M. Hetet and J. W. Hotham.
