ELDERLY MAORI WOMAN.

POLICE AND NATIVES SEARCH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. .An elderly female Maori pensioner, aged about 70, has been missing from Whaka • since Friday night. A thorough search has been made but so far with no result. Part of the edge of a steam hole in the Maori village has been observed to be missing, and it is suggested that the woman may have fallen in boiling water. The police and natives :are :using grappling irons and poles to try and recover the' body if it should be there. /S> .
