CLAIM FOR MAINTENANCE.

WOMAN WITH 14 CHILDREN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Friday. A claim for maintenance and guardianship orders was made by Mrs. Elizabeth Miller"' Mclnally, in the Magistrate's Court to-day, against her husband, Owen Mclnally, a hawker. Mrs. Mclnally said she was married in 1900. She had 14 children, nine of whom were under 10 years of age. Her husband was a fruit hawker, and earned an average of £7 a week. He had been i prohibited three times. He allowed her £3 a week, and had agreed to pay the rent. He had threatened to leave her. The magistrate made an order for maintenance at £3 a week with respect to the wife, a guardianship order with respect to the nine children, and a J maintenance order of 5/ a week with respect to each of the nine children. Defendant was also ordered to pay £10, past maintenance, and £4 4/ solicitor's fee.
