CANCELLATION OF VISIT:. DECISION IN OTAGO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. The Otago amateur athletic centre has decided to cancel the visit of the noted runner, L. Lermond and G. A. Golding, the" former of America and the latter of Australia. It is pointed out that there are several big attractions on the same day and despite the fact that the Invercargill centre is unable to stage an appearance, the New Zealand Council will not agree to reduce the original guarantee of £45. PELTZER TOR THE SOUTH. 3 MAY RUN IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegrajpih.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The German runner, Dr. Peltzer, is keen to visit the South Island and will possibly leave to-night for Lyttelton, in which event he is prepared to compete at an evening meeting in Christchurch on Monday.
