PROVINCIAL NEWS.
CAMBRIDGE. The monthly meeting of the Power Board wis held yesterday, Mr. Mervyn Wells presiding. A firm of fanciers offered £20,000 on local body debentures at 53 per cent. The Auditor-General returned the board's balance sheets for two years without "tag." The board resolved to set up a sinking fund of £ 200 per annum in connection with Its £ «0,000 loan. The engineer reported that the consumers now numbered 1270. Messrs. Wilfred Harbutt and E. D. Fisher 'have recently imported 35 2-tooth pedigree Southdown sheep from the well-known Taranaki breeder Mr. C. J. Hawken, of Mokola. ( ; , . < 1 :
