7,000,000 Working Days Lost Yearly in Britain. PLEA FOR PREVENTION. (Received 9.30 a.m.)' LONDON, February 7.. Basing their case upon the Ministry of Health reports to the effect that common colds! and influenza cost Britain 7,000,000 working days a year, eight leading industrial magnates and business men, headed by Lords Blyth and Wakefield, have, issued a statement urging employers to spread the knowledge of preventives and to ensure medical supervision for their workers.
