MARORO WRECKED.
AUCKLAND CUTTER'S END. ,CREW REPORTED SAVED. MAY RETURN TO NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday, j Information was received in Wellingr ton to-day that the auxiliary cutter e Maroro, which disappeared from Auckland some months ago and which was 3 located at American Samoa early in January, has been wrecked. Tlie news came to the Marine Depart- . ment from Apia, which received the information from Pago Pago. No details were given, and it is presumed that the Maroro came to grief somewhere in Eastern Somoa. 7 All on board, two men, a woman and four children, were reported to be safe, j They are being taken to Apia, and it is understood that arrangements are being made to have theni returned to New l " Zealand. > Neither the owner of the Maroro, Mr. Peter Smith, nor the Marine Department at Auckland has received any news of the cutter's movement since she left Page Pago.
