Tlie news came to the Marine Depart- . ment from Apia, which received the information from Pago Pago. No details were given, and it is presumed that the Maroro came to grief somewhere in Eastern Somoa. 7 All on board, two men, a woman and four children, were reported to be safe, j They are being taken to Apia, and it is understood that arrangements are being made to have theni returned to New l " Zealand. > Neither the owner of the Maroro, Mr. Peter Smith, nor the Marine Department at Auckland has received any news of the cutter's movement since she left Page Pago.
