CHAMPIONSHIP BOWLS.
DOMINION TOURNAMENT. FINAL DAY'S PLAY. PAIRS SEMI-FINALS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ■ . DUNEDIN, this day. The championship bowling tournament entered on its last stages this morning with a game in the first round of postsection play of the pairs competition. The winners of this game take part in the semi-final against Gladding and Jenkin (Carlton) this afternoon. Halliday and Burgess (Hokonui), having already qualified, will play the subsequent winner in the final. The weather this morning, was favourable if rather dull, and the absence of wind left conditions with little to be desired. The green was again in first-class order. The game this morning was between Batcheler and Cooper (Southland) and Todd and Tambly (St. Kilda), who won in 1926, was won by the former by 24 points to 21. The Southland pair were in particularly good form, and the game was, a good exhibition on both sides.
