Huge Hauls By "Cleverest In London." THREE REARS' GAOL. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, January 17. "The cleverest confidence man in London," is Scotland Yard's description of William Eobinson, aged 62, bookmaker, who was gaoled for three years- for obtaining £2000 through a trick. Ihe police stated that they had traced £82,0C0 obtained by Eobinson from various victims, including Australians, to whom Eobinson posed as a wealthy Australian mineowner. He married a former woman associate and they resided at Ealing.
