Life-savers courageously donned their belts and succeeded in Teaching those who were in trouble, but the lines were severed by jagged rocks and the life-savers discarded their belts and brought the bathers ashore. During the swim to the beach the'shark swam within a few feet of one of the lifesavers. Two sharks were caught in the harb6ur yesterday, one being at Newingtou, where children had been swimming only a few minutes before.
