Enawah Again.

f Mountain Dell Bolts In \ Tramway. j In showery weather the Auckland Trotting Club continued the summer meetiner at Alexandra Park to-day, when the second of the three days' programme was the menu. The ground underfoot ■was wet, and the racing track heavy, consequently the times recorded were slow. The attendance was surprisingly good, considering the conditions prevailing. A Favourite Beaten. The programme opened with the Oak Handicap, for which all started. The public went for Linnett the Great -( £901)7 Writer ( £652), and Tamahine (£613). Marble Star and Wild Nut were the early, leaders from Peterson, who later broke. Passing the stands the first time, Marble Star was attended by Wild Nut, Tamahine, Wimmera King, Kolmar, Linnett the Great, Writer and Anseline. When they came round again Marble Star was still in charge from Tamahine, Kolmar, Wimmera King, Linnett .the Great and Peterson. Tamahine ■went to the front along the back from Marble Star, Kolmar, Wimmera King and Writer. Tamahine led into the ■straight, followed by Writer, Linnett the Great and Kolmar. Writer'then took command, to win by two lengths from Tamahine, who beat Kolmar by two lengths and a half. Then came Linnett the Great, Marble Star, Wild Nut, Roma Bingen, Wimmera.King, Peterson and Anseline. . : v . v - Favourite Wins Tramway. Cornelian, Belle Axworthy" and Sir -Author dropped out of the Tramway Handicap and Enawah .(£1183) was test backed, with Mountain Dell ( £967) and' the First Flight-Nella Dillon, bracket ( £488) also in demand. Nella Dillon, Enawah, Concertina and Warspite began best, while First Flight ..and Purser both broke up at the start. As they passed the stand Nella Dillon was in front from Enawah, Concertina, Warspite, "Van Rich, Lord, Nepean, and Mountain Dell. The last named, fell going across the back and while galloping around collided with Van Rich, knocking the latter's driver out of the sulky. Crossing the top Enawah had charge from Nella Dillon and Warspite, with Hal Chimes three lengths" further back, Enawah increased her lead entering the straight, where she was attended by Warspite, Nella Dillon and Hal Chimes', and she went on to win easily by two lengths and a half, with Warspite a couple of lengths ahead of Hal Chimes. Nella Dillon yas. fourth, with Limosa and Hostess next.

The Champion Handicap. Machine Gun was the only defection from the Champion Handicap..for which the public elected Peter Bingen favourite, entrusting him with £1360. Prince Pointer (£975) and Kohara (£913)- were also well backed. Dilworth began best from Bessie Logan, Linkman, Kohara and Bonny L°?an, but Dilworth left her feet early in the, race and Kohara led past the stand from Bonny Logan, Bessie Logan, Jewel Pointer, Dilworth and Peter Bingen, with Linkman and Go-ifl Jacket, who were breaking, last. Kohara was three lengths clear along the Lack, with the order of the others unchanged, and crossing the top he was showing the way to Jewel Pointer, Bessie Logan. Peter- Bingen and Bonny Logan. Kohara Was first into the straight, bnt he tired in the run home and Padlock got up in time to dead-heat with him. Peter Bingen was two lengths away third, then came Jewel Pointer, Ijessie Logan, Prince Pointer and Dilworth. The Trotters. Young Blake was the only scratching in the Christmas Handicap, a two" mile event-for trotting horses, for which Lady Pan (£1580).
