BLANDFORD PARK SPEEDWAY
MEETING THIS EVENING. Another exciting, night is to be helcl at Blandford Park speedway to-night commencing at 8 p.m. Patrons are assured of the best night's entertainment yet put on the track. There will he the New Year Handicap valued at £54 10/, in which all the favourites will compete as well as some new riders not yet seen out on this ground. The Big Nine championship for the gold helmet, in which L. Coulthard, Lemon, Cyril Walker,-J. Peek, L. Sowerby, C. Goldberg, Rick Bull, A. McLaren and K. Hack will all race off the scratch" mark, is another attraction. All these riders are experienced dirt track thrillers and this event will be one of the tit-bits of the season. A special challenge race between Alby Lemon and Len Sowerby will also be staged, the distance being fpur Japs from a rolling start. Taken all in all the programme to be submitted %oflight is the best yet stagpd by this stadium, and the turnstiles will be very busy passing the crowds through.
