He was a member of°a family picnic party, and he intimated his intention of going into the water. He was not noticed by others in the party, and they thought he was sun-batliin". In the evening he was reported missing, and his clothes were found on the beach. The beach was searched, but without findin" a trace of St. George. He was employed in Wellington, and was visiting his home f'- the holidays.
