WATER POLO. TWO NARROW VICTORIES. Close scoring was a feature of the games played in the Auckland Water Poln Control Board's competition at the Tepid Baths last evening. Results: — Ponsonby A beat Grammar by 1 goal to nil. There was no score in the first half, but Foster goaled early in the second spell. Kronfeld and Farrell were ordered out of the water. Mount Eden beat Ponsonby B by 3 goals to 2. In the first spell Witten twice 6Cored for Mount Eden, but after the interval Ponsonby ...rallied, and although Bellam scored again for Mount Eden, Keane twice netted for the losers.
