The school will consist of eight rooms, and be built on an admirable eit-e of eleven acres,, which has a frontage of 415 feet to Mangere Road. The building will embody many improvements in school construction, and possess features of design which are recognised as being necessary to producing the best results from both scholars and teachers. Asked this morning if it was possible that provision for agricultural instruction would be made at the new institution in accordance with a scheme that has been mooted, the chairman of the board (Mr. A. Burns) stated that ae the Education Committee, set up by the Government, which recently sat in Auckland, had not yet submitted its report, it was not known what form the instruction would take. A secondary school at Otahuhu, however, was required in addition to the present district school, and it might combine both secondary and primary training.
