ANTI-BRITISH FEELING.
NSW ZEALANBER SHOCKED RACIAL BITTERNESS EVIDENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day; The Hon. W. H. Triggs, M.L.C., and Mrs. Triggs arrived from London by the Ruahine to-day, after an extended tour, which included South Africa. He took part in the inter-Parliamentary conference in Berlin. Mr. Triggs expresses himself as shocked by the racial bitterness he observed in South Africa, and the distinctly anti-British feeling shown by the Hertzog Government. He said a trade treaty with Germany effectively prevented any further preference being given to Great Britain, and there was no dis* position in official quarters to encourage either British manufacturers, British immigration or the investment of British capital. The anti-Imperial spirit was shown chiefly in the Transvaal and flie Orange Free State, and was strongly resented by Natal and Rhodesia, which were thoroughly loyal to the Mother Country.
