Waiomo Sulphide.—The new 10-stamper mill and oil flotation plant, which is-betas erected on this company's property, will be ready for crushing about the end of December. This plant will enable the treatment of fifty tons of ore daily. To accelerate development and stopping operations at the mine, a new air-compressing plant of a four-drill capacity has been installed. Stopes are being opened on ore of high grade on the Zeehan reef, north and south of the main crosscut, where six men are ■ employed. At the lowest level a crosscut eastward of the main reef encountered a new reef after driving 40ft. This ore body does not appear to carry base metals ana where intersected contained ore or g ■r r acle. Sis men are engaged drmn» n<orth 1 and south. The rise on the Green Harp reef at its Junction with the Stockwood reef is up 6ft above the 400 ft level. They are both strong and promising bodies of ore, but a false hangingwaU is preventing a close contact. A start has been made to continue the seaward face of the 400 ft level on tue Stockwood reef towards the junction with the Venus reef. At the 180 ft level of the Union Beach these reefs are 50ft apart.
