WAIKATO TRAINS.
SERVICE TO CAMBRIDGE.
TIME-TABLE ALTERATIONS.
A rearrangement of trains in the Waikato is to take place at an early date, by which all Cambridge trains will be worked direct from Frankton. The train which at present leaves Frankton at 9 a.m. will leave for Cambridge at 9.15, while the present 3.5 p.m. train from Ruakura Junction will not leave until 4.5 p.m. The 3.55 p.m. train from Frankton to Cambridge will be discontinued, the idea being that passengers will be able to travel by the train leaving at 3.40 and connect with the train leaving Ruakura at 4.5 p.m. The train which now leaves Cambridge for Frankton at 7.40 a.m. will run ten minutes later.
In order to speed up tie passenger service between Frankton and Auckland, the 9.45 passenger train will be accelerated so as to arrive in Auckland at 1.57, a saving of 25 minutes on the run. The 7.45 a.m. train from Paeroa to Waihi will run 15 minutes earlier.
