A PLAYGROUND GAME.
Get a piece*of thick string several yards long and tie ten knots in it if there are fifteen players. Four of these players hold the string, forming a square. Now the other eleven players creep inside the square, and face sideways, each holding the string with his left hand. One of the players holding the string commences to whistle or hum a tune, and continues to make music whilst the players march round and round, sliding their hands on the string and putting them on the knots as often as they can find them. Each time the music stops ,players who are not touching knots must drop out, so that soon only a few remain. For every player who drops out a knot is untied in the string. Like "musical chairs," this game continues until only one player remains, and he is the winner.
