PRESENTATION TO THE REV. HOWARD ELLIOTT.
The paragraph in your issue of the 14t.i inst. relating to the above has been sent to me at Hawera. May I adjust this for fear that misunderstandings may later arise? Mr. Bridger and I were in the room when the presentation was made, but neither of us was invited to speak on the matter of the presentation, nor did cither of us take any part in the carrying of the resolution of conlitlence referred to in the- paragraph. I suggest that had it been intended to give any official docking to the gesture towards Mr. Elliott the past and present heads of the P.P.A. woiittL have been asked to say something.
