AUCKLAND CROQUET CLUB

Yesterday was the official opening of the Auckland Croquet Club. Prize winners were:—A: Mrs. Clayton and Mrs. Munra. B.: Mrs. Rose and Mrs. Pegler; consolation prize, Mre. H. Rainger. The president wore a brown and tan silk marocain; Mies Brown (secretary), bois de rose cloth, hat to tone; Mrs. A. Keesing (secretary of Auckland Centre), orange. Jersey suit;-Mre. Schnauer (president'of Auckland' Centre), navy blue floral georgette. Among the players were: Mrs. Bell, Mre, J. Shanley, Mrs. H. Rainger, Mrs. Clayton, Mrs.. Pegler, Mrs. C. Allan, Mrs. Coltman, Miss Roach, Miss Coldicut, Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Gould,-'Mrs. Newman, Mrs. Page, Mrs. Munro, Mrs.-' Coates.
