SOCCER CODE.

AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING.

ALTERATIONS TO BY-LAWS,

"A player signing on for a club under the Auckland Football Association shall remain a member of that club for all time until transferred under any rule." This alteration to the rules was carried last night at a special general meeting of the association in the Y.M.C.A., presided over by Mr. A. Menzies, when several alterations of importance were carried, to be considered by a special sub-commit-tee and embodied in the constitution and by-laws of the association, to be finally approved at a special general meeting to be called later.

Alterations to by-laws, suggested by the senior division committee make it illegal for any club, directly or indirectly, to approach a player of another club between April 1 and December 31, and during that period transfers can only be granted on specified grounds.

It shall be the. duty of any clubs having players in any grade or division whose services cannot be utilised to forward a list of such members to the secretary of the Auckland Football Association to be placed on the "open to transfer" list, and all such members shall be automatically transferred to any club desiring their services subject to the provisions of foregoing rules. In the event of any player desiring to transfer during the season from one club to another, such transfer being opposed, the player or club shall have the right of appeal, such appeal being adjudicated upon by the Control Board of the Auckland Football Association whose decision shall be final and binding. Any player signing for more than one club becomes subject to disciplinary provisions. A remit from the Referees' Association suggesting a scale of payment for referees was not pressed, the feeling of the meeting and some referees present being overwhelmingly against the principle.
