The announcement that he had accepted a call to the Anglican parish of Northcote, and that he would take over his new post in January, was made by the Rev. F. W. Wilkes at St. Matthew's Church on Sunday.
"As you know, I do not see eye to eye with the Bishop," he said, "and as he was the only man I knew in New Zealand when I arrived, the position has been ail awkward one."
