PERSONAL.
Dr. and Mrs. Earp-Thomas, of Wellington, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. B. B. Wood, of Christchurch, was a passenger to Frankton by the Limited express this morning. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, who has been in Auckland during the week-end, will return to Wellington by this evening's Limited express. Mr. G. McNaniara, secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department, who has been on an official visit to Auckland, will return to Wellington this evening. Guests at the Grand Hotel are: Mr. E. Edwards (Glasgow), Mr. H. Thompson, Mr. H. Kent (Wellington), Mr. K. Tompkins, Mr. McCaughan (New Plymouth). Mr. J. Brooks, deputy-chairman of Messrs. Ardath Tobacco Co., Ltd., London, and Mr. R. W. Anderson, Dominion representative at Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. R. A. Fox-Rodgers, a New Zealander who for some years past has been a planter on Norfolk Island, arrived in Auckland on a short visit by the Maui Pomare this morning. Among the guests at the Royal Hotel are:—Mr. J. Fitzgerald (Wellington), Mr. C. J. Fisken (Gisbome), Mr. and Mrs. W. Bridger (Whakatane), Mr. and Mrfs. H. F. C. Morton (Timaru). Mr. Angus Marshall (Te Kopuru), Mr. G. E. Watson, Mr. and Mrs. R. Morgan, Mr. N. D. Blair, Mr. P. Barry (Wellington), Mr. Louis Scott (Sydney), Mr. John Arnold (London), are at the Star Hotel. Mr. F. Beaumont Smith, managingdirector of Messrs. J. C. Williamson's Films (N.Z.), Ltd., is in Auckland on a business trip. He is accompanied by Mrs. Smith and they are staying at the Grand Hotel. Arrivals at the Central Hotel are: Mr. M. Forbes (Taumarinmi), Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Macky, Mr. H. M. Boyd (Wellington), Mr. B. Spellman (Masterton), Mr. and Mrs. W. Hollidge, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Steele (Russell), Mr. and Mrs. J. S._Woolley (Whangaroa), Mr. T. R. Kenny (Kaitaia).
