MOMENTOUS DECISION

More N.S.W. Collieries To Be

Closed Down.

COAL SUPPLY THREATENED. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Grave danger to public services is threatened by the decision of the Enginedrivers' and Firemen's Association, at Cessnock, to close down the two unassociated collieries of Millfield Greta and Hill End on Sunday. Three other pits also will probably be closed at the same time, and coal supplies will shrink almost to vanishing point. . This decision indicates a definite split in the union's ranks.
