WAHAROA CLUB.

At the annual meeting of the Waharoa Tennis Club on Saturday night officers were elected as follow: Patron, Mr. J. Pohlen; president, Mr. 0. L. Tasenby; vice-presi-dent, Mr. J. Kirk; club captain, Mr. D. O'Connor; management "committee, Mesdames •Stanford, O'Connor, Misses Ayers (2), Lewis, Barker, Messrs. J. Buttye, D. K. Porter, C. Cresswell, J. B. Wathen; assistant secretary, Mr. F. Smith.

THE FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION.

HEADQUARTERS AT PUKEKOHE. I At the annual meeting of the Franklin i Lawn Tennis Association the vice-president, ! Mr. S. E. Schofield, presided. over delegates from the following clubs: Onewhero, Tuakau Domain, Tuakau Central, Buckland, Pukekohe', Bombay, Pukekohe East, Aka Aka, St. James, Patumahoe. The report stated that the association's finances were sound, and that the cash credit balance was £34 19/8. The association consisted of 16 affiliated clubs, representing a total senior membership of 554 players, an increase of 18 over that of the previous year. Seven clubs competed for the Park Home Shield,, which was won by the Buckland Club, and there were 12 entries for the Moore-'Schlaepfer Shield, which was won by St. James' (Pukekohe(. In the special zone Waiuku and Pukekohe tied in the A grade, and Pukekohe won the B grade. Following were the officers elected: Patron, Mr. A. Park Home (Buckland) ; president, Mr. M. S. Campbell (Pukekohe) ; vicepresidents, Messrs. 'S. C. Schofield (Buckland), R. Glasgow and R. -N. Johnson (Onewhero) ; secretary, and treasurer, Mr. W. F. Porter (Pukekohe) ; treasurer, Mr. W. B. Richards (Pukekohe) ; delegates to the Auckland Association, Messrs. G. C. Allen (Pukekohe), A Schlaepfer (St. James), and W. F. Porter; maaagement committee, Messrs. Campbell, C. Morrin, and Porter (all Pukekohe) ; selectors, Messrs. Johnson, B. Keary (Aka Aka), and Morrin. It was decided to open the competitions on November 16, entries to close on November 4. A grade teams are to comprise four men and four ladies, and B grade teams six men and six ladies. Pukekohe was fixed as the headquarters of the association.

THE AKA AKA CLUB.

The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Aka Aka Tennis Club: Patron, Mr. I. M. Rutherford; president, -Mr. D. R. Anderson; secretary, Mr. W. H. Barton; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Jolly, S. Cosgrove, J. K. Hull, Carter, W. Louden, T. P. McNamara and H. P. Garland ; delegates to Franklin Association, Messrs. L. Henry. Anderson and Crouch; club captain, Mr. B. Keary.
