MARKS FROM MILDEW.
We usually find these nasty stains On cotton and linen. They are due to dampness which causes a vegetable fungus to grow. One of the simplest plans for removal is to moisten the and rub it quickly with soft soap. This done, sprinkle the parts with either calcium oxide or finelypowdered calcium sulphate. If neither of these are at hand, common salt must be used in the same way. Put the article so treated 011 the grass in bright sunshine, taking care, that the stained parts are kept quite moist. This helps considerably. Renew the treatment daily until the marks have gone.
