WAIKATO NOTES
A bridge afternoon was given at the home of Mrs. W. D. Ross, Queen's Avenue, on Saturday. Those present were I :—Mesdames F. B. Jolly, P. E. Cleary, H. J. Greenslade, E. H. O'Meara, T. F. Jolly, H. Hasler, C. Rees, H. J. McMullin, T. B. Insoll Miss C. Jolly, Miss B. de Renzy. The Frankton Railway Bowling Club held their annual dance in the Railway Institute, Frankton Junction, on Wednesday. The 'ballroom 'was decorated with Chinese lanterns and coloured paper streamers. Those present were:— Mesdames F. Bolton, Heppleeton, T. Luxton, Morris, McDell, Maguire, Frost, Dew, Buckley, Hyde, R. Green, Hurrell, Peterson, Thompson, Moroney, W. Martin, Gould, Misses E. Mubgrove, K. Price, N. Simpson, P. Green, M. Morris, M. Reece, J. Keat, Dent, G. Mill, J. Ready, N. Frost, M. Starlc; P. Andrews, D. Rose, A. Buckley, E. Boardman, M. Morrison, K. Alexander, T. Boardman, A. Fitzgerald, W. Thomas, V. Whelan, M. McDenell, T. Browne. Miss May Ross entertained a number of her friends at Bridge on Monday
evening at her home in Queen's Avenue. The prizes were won by Miss C. Bertlesen, Miss M. Beale, Miss J. Pratt. Those present were:—Mrs. A. Bremner, Mrs. Allan Matthews, Misses D. Yule, F. Hall, M. Gillies, F. Lightbourne, B. Manning, C. Ohitty, J. Pratt, F. Jolly, E. Ward, C. Bertlesen, K. Vickery, M. Beale, B. Vickery. The point-to-point dance held in the Hautapu Hall on Saturday was a very jolly affair. Those present included: —
