It is stated that during the course of somo investigations he was making along the hills of the upper reaches of the Wanganui River the late Mr. W. Salt, president of the Ruapehu Ski Club, came across some magnificent glowworm caves, which he investigated as extensively as possible. These .caves, it is said, are of very great beauty, and. were it possible to provide access to them they would open up another outstanding tourist attraction. Unfortunately' Mr'. if it is found practicable to develop the caves they should be investigated further. - It is stated that the caves rival those of Waitomo, but the main problem is that of access.
