The tonnage in port lias been decreased by the departure of the Hororata for London and the Port Victor for the South, while the Waipahi is to be dispatched for Earotonga this afternoon. The Union Company's steamer Kairanga is expected -to clear Newcastle for Auckland at 3 p.m. to-day. PRUNUS TO DISCHARGE. To complete discharge of her cargo of guano from the Seychelles Islands, the steamer Prunus is due at Auckland from Bluff to-morrow night, and will berth at the King's wharf.' (A. S. Leaving Wellington to-morrow, the Shaw, Savill and Alhion steamer Tamaroa is due at Auckland on Monday to complete discharge of her general cargo from London. A. S. Paterson,. Ltd., are the local agents. • OAKBANK REPORTS. A radio, from the Weir Line motor ship Oakbank states that she expects to arrive at Auckland from Tampico (Mexico), at daybreak next Monday. UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The Kartigi arrived vesterday afternoon from Greymouth, via New Plymouth, and berthed at the Prince's wharf. She is to sail again at noon to-morrow for Westport and Greymouth to load for Auckland. The Kurow is to sail at 5 *vm. to-morrow for Lyttelton, Timaru and Bluff. The Waimea left Gisborne at 3.30 p.m. yesterday and. arrived at Napier at 2.30 a.m. to-day. She is expected to clear the latter port at 6 p.m. to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday. She is to berth at the King's wharf, and sails again for Gisborne and Napier at 4 p.m.° on Tuesday. The Waipiara left Wellington at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and is due at Auckland to-morrow morning, berthing at the Prince's wharf. She is to sail on Monday next for Wellington and Dunedin. The Kaikorai left Westport at 10 a m yesterday for New Plymouth and Auckland. The Kaituna left Greymouth at 11 am yesterday for New Plymouth and Auckland.

The New Zealand Shipping Co. s steamer J Hororata sailed this morning for New i York, Boston, Halifax and London. | H.M.s. Diomede is to undock on September j 27 and will lie at the Central wharf until her departure for England on October 1. H.M.s. Dunedin returned from Wellington this morning, and berthed at the | Sheerlegs wharf. . Now loading at the Central wharf, the Federal steamer Northumberland is to sail for London and West of England ports on Tuesday nest. To complete discharge of her cargo of Ocean Island phosphate, the steamer Sagama River is to sail at noon to-morrow for New Plymouth and Wanganui. WAIPAHI SAILS. To load another cargo of fruit for Auckland, the Union Co.'s steamer Y> aipahi is to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke. This is her last trip of the season. ULIMAROA FOR SYDNEY. On her return voyage to Sydney, the Huddart-Parker passenger steamer Ulimaroa left Wellington nt mid-day to-day. She is due at Sydney next Tuesday, and leaves there the following Friday for Auckland. AORANGI LEFT SYDNEY. Cabled advice from Sydney confirms the departure from there at 5 p.m. yesterday of the Union Co.'s R.M.m.s. Aorangi. with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver. She is due at Auckland nest Monday morning and sails for Vancouver at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Here ahe is to berth at the Prince's wharf. PORT VICTOR SAILED. 11l continuation of her voyage from New York, the Commonweatlh and Dominion Line steamer Port Victor sailed this afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Thence she is to return to Auckland about October 6 to lond for Genoa, and will go to Australia to fill up. PAPANUI TO-NIGHT. According to her wireless report, the Federal steamer Papanui will arrive at Auckland from Liverpool at midnight tonight. She is to berth at the Queen's wharf to-morrow morning to commence discharge. and will complete at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. MAHBNO AND MAKURA. With passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland and Wellington respectivelv. the Union Co.'s steamers Maheno and Makura are scheduled to leave Sydney this offernoon. and both vessels are due at their respective portß next Tuesday. The Maheno is to leave Auckland again for Sydney next Friday, but the Makura will leave Wellington the previous day in order to enter the trans-Pacific service on her arrival at Sydney. POOLTA ARRIVED. Arriving at Auckland this morning, the Union Co.'s steamer Poolta berthed at the King's wharf to discharge her carir of hardwood from Grafton, Port Stephens, and Newcastle. She brought also a quantity of Eastern and Australian mail. She is to sail at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Wellington. Lyttelton, Bluff and Greymouth to complete discharge. NORTHERN COMPANY'S MOVEMENTS. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Melbourne (Captain T. Kippins, D.S.C.), from London, via Suva. Since last at Auckland, the Port Melbourne has had a Bauer Wasch auxiliary' turbine fitted, which has increased her speed from 12 to 13 knots. Leaving London on August 2, the Port Melbourne experienced fine weather In the Atlantic and arrived at Colon on August 18. After bunkering there, she resumed her voyage the following day. Suva was reached on September 9, and the Port Melbourne landed there 4700 tons of general cargo, the largest that has ever been discharged there by one ship. She left Suva at 5 p.m. last Monday, and made the run to Auckland in three days seventeen hours. Her best time previously for the distance was four days two hours. The Port Melbourne is discharging the local portion of her cargo at the Queen's wharf. From here she is to go to Dunedin to pnt out the remainder, and she will later load for London at Timaru.
