WEEK-END PRICES IN SHOPS. BUTTER DEARER SINCE MONDAY. EGG MARKET EASIER. An easier tendency was shown in the egg market this week, some shops asking 1/2, but the average rate is 1/3 per dozen. Butter was advanced one penny per pound on Slonday, to bring prices ou a level with rates for export to London. Vegetables are now showing the good effect of more sunshine, some very fine cabbage and cauliflower having been sent in during the week. New potatoes hold prices well, small tubers being marked fourpence per pound and larger ones from sixpence to sevenpenee. Apples show a firming tendency as £he season is getting on.
