"TRAPPED."

DANGEROUS DRIVING CASE,

"Is there a, 'trap' at that part of the road?" asked a driver of a motor ear, who appeared before Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day. Upon being informed by the inspector that there was a "trap," the defendant said, "Then I plead guilty," and he was fined 40/ and costs for speeding.

In a number of other cases fines of 20/ with costs were imposed for speeding, and in a few cases offenders were mulcted in 10/ and costs. In a case where a motor car driver had been speeding, Mr. Cutten remarked, "Driving a van at high speed is much more dangerous than in the case of an ordinary motor car."
