Allum) this morning, "But I know the board will not place unnecessary obstacles in the way of a settlement." The proposals are that both parties should expunge all minutes referring to matters arising out of the Massicks appeal case, and that a fresh start should be made as though Massicks had not been dismissed, and in consequence that Massicks be reinstated. It is also'suggested that a committee of two representatives of the Transport Board, two of the Tram T*?/? 8 Club and two from tte union should be set up to consider the employ* ment clause in the agreement between the board and the union as it affects new men regarding club membership, and ite operation concerning membership 7i other benefit societies paying intn +£ tramwaymen's medical fund. The nm posals will first be submitted to the e */f tie union, and, if adooted will be offered to the Transport Boii
