The reason pine trees are-so often associated with mountain scenery is tW they are among the few trees which can grow at a very high altitude. Pi ne tret* can grow at G2ooft, and firs at 6700ftboLy°U wiU rarely find an ash above 4800 ft, or an oak above 8350 ft.
