POOLING COUNTY FUNDS.
DEPUTATION TO MINISTER. A CONTENTIOUS SUBJECT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Request for the pooling of -county I funds and abolition of the riding system i where thought desirable : was made to \ the Minister of Internal Affairs to-day by a deputation from. Masterton County Council. The Hon. de la Perrelle said, as the proposal was likely to be contentious, he could not promise that effect would be given it while the present Counties Amendment Bill was before Parliament.
