FRANKTON STOCK SALE.
STORE CATTLE SELL WELL. FAT PIGS SLIGHTLY EASIER. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale at Frankton saleyards, when a good average yarding of beef came forward. Store cattle were yarded in usual numbers, aud sold under keen competition. Sheep.—Average yarding of fat sheep, prices being on a par with last week's rate.' Only a small yarding of store sheep, and prices were easier. ~ Pigs.—A full yarding at late rates. Beef.—Light fat bullocks. sold up to £14; heavy prime fat cows made from £14 10/ to £15 17/; prime fat cows made from £12 12/6 to £13 10/ and £14 2/6; light prime fat cows, £11 10/ to £12 7/6; prime fat heifers realised £12 12/6 to £13, 2/; best vealers sold up to £3 19/; others, £2 15/ to £3; small, 30/ to 35/. Store cattle: A pen of goodconditioned store cattle made £6 15/; young cows and heifers made £5 2/ to
£5 3/; boned cows, £4. A pen of yearling, £5 5/. Another pen of Hereford and Polled Angus yearling steers made £6 4/, a pen of Hereford and Polled Angus heifers made £-4 11/; M.S. yearlings, £3 13/; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £5 1/ to £5 9/. Prime fat wethers sold up to 38/6; fat ewes, 30/; small M.S. hoggets, £1 3/0 to £1 6/4; small black-faced hoggets, £1 1/11. A large yarding of both fat and store pigs. Fats were a shade easier, whilst stores sold at late rates. Heavy baconers, £3 18/ to £4 18/; medium baconers, £3 9/ to £3 14/; large porkers, ,£2 12/ to £3 3/; small porkers, £2 to £2 18/; large stores, £2 4/ to £2 10/; others, £1 13/ to £1 17/; slips, £1 5/ to £1 9/; weaners, 18/ to £1 3/.
