BETTER TIMES

HOPES OF BOOKSELLERS. SALES AT ENGLISH PRICES. Books which are to be sold at English net prices are to form the principal feature of window displays in Auckland during this month. A statement to this effect was made by Mrs. E. W. Moore, president of the Auckland branch of the Associated Booksellers of New Zealand, at the annual meeting of that body yesterday afternoon.

The president made reference to the difficult time experienced by the trade during the past year because of the economic depression which had been prevalent throughout the Dominion. Mrs. Moore expressed the hope, however, that better times would be experienced in the year which was being entered upon.

Officers were clected as follow:—President, Mrs. E. W. Moore; executive, Messrs. H. J. Edmiston, Heamer, A. J. Harding, J. W. Kealv, R. J. Utting, J. Walker.
