MEETING OF RACING RIDERS,

FOiITHCOMING TRIALS. HISTORY 0# T.T. RACES. SPORT'S CLUB'S MEETING. The monthly: meeting of the Auckland Sports' Motor Cycle Club is to be held at the Chamber of Commerce, , Swanson Street, this evening at 7.30. The principal business will be a discussion on the big reliability trial of 456 miles on O'ctober 26, 27 and 28. The proposed course is around the Lower Waikato and up through the Bay of Plenty. PILLION RIDING TRIAL. The North Shore Motor Cycle Club is holding a pillion riding trial from Auckland to Helensville and back to Devonport, via Riverhead and Albany, during the coming week-end. This will be the first event of its kind to be held in the .Dominion. It is hoped that the event will definitely prove that, provided the proper saddles and footrests for the person behind are fitted, pillion riding is equally as safe as solo travelling. LADIES' OPEN TRIAL. The Ladies' Progressive Motor Cycle Club are certainly progressive. On the week-end after next this club is to hold 100-miles reliability trial open to all motor cyclists of both sexes, including club and outside riders. Stop and restart tests, and brake tests will be conducted during the trial. The course — well that, for the present, is a secret.

Mr. J. Kay, a member of the executive council of the New Zealand Auto Cycle Union, will address a meeting of registered riders and intending' riders for the coming season at the room of the secretary of the Auckland I.otor Racing Club, Mr. T. W. Maben, on Thursday evening. Mr. Kay will give a report of the recent annual conference, and will discuss matters of vital importance to racing men.
