PUKEKOHE BAND.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. PUKEKOHE. Thursday. The annual meeting of the Pukekohe Municipal Band was held last evening, the president. Mr. J. P. Rae, presiding. The balance-sheet showed that accumulated funds amounted to £237 15/, and a bank balance of £64 9/4. The report stated that harmony had prevailed among members during the past year, and generally splendid progress had been made. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. P. Rae; vicepresidents, Messrs. J. H. Webb and J. Patterson; secretary, Mr. J. Meyer; bandmaster, Mr. L. Holt; sergeant, Mr. Calvin Deed; corporal, Mr. R. Meyer; lance-corporal, Mr. R. Deed; librarian, Mr. Clifford Deed; auditors, Messrs. J. F. Deane and M. S. Campbell; bandsmen's committee, Messrs. E. W. Pook, J. Begbie and H. Sutton; executive committee, Messrs. F. J. Morrow and G. H. Armstrong (non-players), and Messrs L. Holt, Calvin Deed, and E. W. Pook (players), with the president, vice-presidents, and secretary ex officio. Presentations were made to the conductor, Mr. H. J. G. Allen, as a slight mark of appreciation of his voluntary services during the year, and to Mr. M. S. Campbell in recognition of his services as auditor, extending over many years.
