MRS. RACHEL SARGESON.

A colonist of 50 years' standing, Mrs. Rachael Sargeson died at Hamilton on Thursday. She was tire widow of the late William Sargeson, and was born in Belfast, Ireland, 84 years ago. bne came to Auckland with her husband 50 years ago. For some time Mi". Sargeson carried on business in this city as a painter and paperhanger. They next went to Hawera, and moved to Hamilton 12 years ago. Mr. Sargeson has been, dead eight years. The following children survive: Messrs. T. Sargeson, New Plymouth; A. M. Sargeson, Hawera; 0. S. Sargeson, Iving Country; Mesdames E. J. Gavey and W. Runciman, and Miss Sargeson, of Hamilton.
