A THOUGHT FOR OTHERS.
The appalling havoc and terrible conditions prevailing in Westland are daily made more and more real to us as we scan the illustration and news columns of the daily papers. Perhaps as we offer a prayer of thankfulness that we have been spared such pain and sorrow we may feel the desire to subscribe towards the relief funds, but because ours is but a mite self-consciousness stays our gift. The object of this note is to meet the desires of such boys and girls who have for this reason refrained from giving by opening a "Peter Pan Club Fund. ' Budget readers who care to may send donations in stamps (or postal notes). Be your gift but a few coppers it will help someone who is in real need. Envelopes containing donations should be addressed to Peter Pan, "Star" Office, Auckland, with the letters P.P.C.F. in the bottom left hand corner.
