Conferment By Oxford On Dawes And Kellogg.

Oxford University is conferring an honorary degree of Doctorate of Civil Law on General Dawes, United States Ambassador to Britain, who arrives on June 26, and also on Mr. F. B. Kellogg, the autkor of the anti-war pact.

Further heavy rain fell in the ndrthwest coast but the danger has passed and the waters are receding. Much damage is reported in the Ulverstone district. The landslide on the main coast road is getting worse and the road is closed.
