WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
CAMERON—DARROW,
At St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday, Miss Elsa Clara Darrow, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. Darrow, of Hamilton, was married to Mr. Allan Humphrey Cameron, of Waikato. The bride's uncle, Mr. W. T. Brown, gave her away. The . wedding sown was of pale parchment-toned ring velvet, with a deep uneven back, and sash fastened with a buckle of pearls and brilliants. The tulle veil was held in place by a strand of orange blossom buds, and she carried a shower bouquet of choice white blooms. Two bridesmaids were in attendance, the Misses Nancy Rawlinson, of Hamilton, and Claire Brown. The former was in lido blue silk (Toorn-ette, cut on uneven lines, and she wore" a picture hat of mastic tonings. The latter was in briar rose uneven length frilled skirt, and a hat of beige tone Both carried shower bouquets of pink and autumn shades. The best man was Mr. Osborne, and the groomsman Mr J. Darrow. At the wedding reception Mrs. W. T. Brown was hostess and wore *an embroidered blue and silver georgette, with fur stole, navy blue cloche hat.
HARDIE—BROOKES. \ picturesque wedding was celebrated at St. David's Church, when Ivy, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Brookes, of Tui Glen, Henderson, became the wife of Mr. Roland Hardie, only son of Mr and Mrs. J. E. Hardie, of Henderson The Rev. D. C. Herron officiated. The bride wore a frock of white georgette cut on uneven lines, the skirt having many small frills, and a silver spray (/flowers at one side. The embroidered tulle veil was caught with a fillet of orange blossoms, and sprigs of lily of the valley were at the sides. A beautiful shower bouquet was carried. The two maids in attendance were Miss D. Brookes, in palma mauve georgette, embroidered in silver, and Miss B. Da we, in blush rose pink. Both wore tulle headdresses and carried irises and pink rose bouquets. The little flower girl, Meryl Leach, wore pastel blue chiffon over" cream, with scalloped hem. A wreath of rosebuds was round her hair and she carried a basket of roses. The uage boy, Noel Taylor, was in a cream suit with lace ruffles. A largelyattended reception and social evening was spent at the Domain Kiosk after the service. The tables and ceiling were adorned in pink and mauve flowers, with long strands of fern. The bride's mother received the guests in a frock of sage green silk crepe fleun, hat to tone, and her bouquet was of autumn tinted flowers. The bridegroom's mother was in blue tricotine trimmed with fawn, bouquet of red roses.
GIBBS—STUBBS. A very pretty and interesting wedding was solemnised at St. Peter's Church, Te Kopuru, when Jessie May, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. 0. Stubbs, Aratapu, became the wife of Harold Williams, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Gibbs, of "Huckleberry Villas," Studley, Warwickshire, England. Rev. R. A. Macdonald was the officiating minister. The bride, who entered the church with her father, was charming in a frock of white crepe de ehine, with an overdress of white silk lace. Her beautifully embroidered tulle veil was prettily arranged and held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms. A sheaf of white arum lilies completed the toilet. She was attended by Miss Blanche Corkill, who wore a pretty frock of apple green taffeta with silver lace trimming, and she carried a posy to tone. Miss Ada Stubbs, sister of the bride, and Miss Irene Clark, cousin, were also in attendance. They wore frocks of cyclamen satin and apricot crepe de chine, respectively, and carried posies to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Clark, cousin of the bride, as best man. A reception was held in the Coronation Hall, which had been beautifully decorated for the occasion, when a large number of guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Stubbs. Mrs. Stubbs received her guests attired in a black satin ensemble suit and pretty pink.crinoline hat.
