WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
wilson—Benson. The Presbyterian Church at Ruawai was the scene of a pretty wedding, when Miss Jean Gilbertson Ewenson, youngest daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. 1. Ewenson, of Ruawai, was maiiied to Mr. Alfred Thomas Wilson, youngest son of Mrs. Turner and the late Mr. Wilson, of Paparoa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. N. 0. White. The bride entered the church on the arm of Mr. J. Carston, of Dannevirke, and looked charming in a gown of ivory satin beaute, draped to one side and finished with a posy of orange blossom. A ehaplet of pearls and orange blossom held in place the embroidered tulle veil. She carried a lovely bouquet of pale pink and white flowers. Miss Isabel Ewenson was in attendance as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of coral lace and satin to tone. Her headdress was of gold tulle and lace. She carried a bouquet of dec]) coral dahlias. The little flower girl. Betty Wallace, wore a pretty frock of floral lace and mauve satin, with gold tulle headdress, and carried a basket of mauve and gold flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Jack Fenwick as best man. As the bride left the church a guard of honour was formed by the Ruawai and Naumai Giil Guides, the former of which she was a member. Following the ceremony Mrs. Ewenson held a reception in the Rialto Theatre, where about 300 visitors were present from Paparoa, Maungaturoto, and surrounding districts.
DOULL—McGREGOR. The wedding of Miss Catherine Campbell McGregor to Mr. Alan Monteith Doull took place at the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle on Tuesday evening. Miss McGregor is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David McGregor, of Ponsonby, and Mr. Doull is the eldest sou of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Monteith Doull, of Richmond, Grey Lynn. The Rev. R. Harries, of St. James' Church, officiated, and Mr. Arthur E. Wilson was at the organ. The whole church was charmingly decorated with masses of greenery and pink flowers. The bride was given away by Mr. W. Tanner. She wore a frock of ivory satin beaute and silver lace. The gown was trimmed with pearls and finished at the back with a large tullo bow inset with clusters of orange blosssom. Her veil was heavily embroidered and ornamented with orange blossom at the end. It was kept in place by orange blossoms and formed a long train. The bride carried a bouquet of white dahlias and roses. Miss S. McGregor, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of pastel pink taffeta. French tucking made effective trimming and her headdress, in a soft shade to tone, was worn with slanting effect. A bouquet of pink roses and dahlias was carried. Mr. Ralph W. Chappell was best man and the usners were Mr. S. Stuart and Mr. A, Doull, After the ceremony a reception was held at the Farmers' tearooms. Mrs. McGregor wore a frock of black beaded satin and black hat. She carried a posy of red flowers and fern. Mrs. H. M. Doull was in rose crepe de chine with striped effect, worn under grey coat and hat to match, and she carried a bouquet of pink dahlias. Mrs. W. Tanner was in powder blue georgette with lace overdress and blue hat.
