WAIKATO NOTES.
The autumn race meeting held at the Te Papa course was well attended both days. The stands and lawns were crowded with race enthusiasts and the meeting was one of the best held at Te Kapa. Eoberts, "Brynterion," Cambridge, entertained some of her friends on Tuesday. The drawing room was decorated with late roses and chrysanthemums, and the dining room table was arranged with tangerine shaded chrysanthemums. Those present wore: —Mesdames A. Price (Thames), W. A reception was held in the Wattle tearooms after the marriage of Miss Elsie Drayton Ellicott to Mr. Oswald Miles Coverda'le, which was celebrated in St. Peter's Cathedral on Tuesday night. .Mrs. Ellicott, mother of the bride, received the guests at the entrance.
