: THE HON.. W. A. VEITCH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) WAIHI, this day. The. Minister of Mines, the Hon. W. A. Veitch, with his private secretary and Miss Erast, descended in a cage to No. 15 level of the Waihi mine and inspected stoping operations on the Edward lode, v.'herc a popper-drilling machine was seen in action. After luncheon the Minister visited the School of Mines and later left for Thames. The Minister said his visit to Waihi had proved most interesting and instructive.
